(6) The members of the Board shall not be entitled to receive any remuneration from the University except such daily and travelling allowances as may be prescribed. (2) The Director of Student Welfare shall have the following duties, namely : (a) to make arrangements of housing of students ; (b) to arrange programme of student's counselling ; (c) to arrange for the employment of students in accordance with the plans approved by the Vice-Chancellor ; (d) to supervise the extra-curricular activities and look after the general needs of the students ; (e) to assist in the placement of the graduates of the University ; and. (2) Each Faculty shall comprise of such departments with such assignments of subjects of study as may be prescribed. (xi) He shall be responsible to the Vice-Chancellor for maintaining discipline, law and order in the College and for discharge of his duty he may award suitable punishment to students for acts of misdemeanour except that before he expels or rusticates a student he shall get the prior approval of the Vice-Chancellor. (3) The Dean shall have such other duties and such other functions as may be necessary for the proper functioning as assigned by the Vice-Chancellor.
